Size matters

TEDxBerlin - Bernard Lietaer

Agreeing on an end goal is by no means an easy task - people's ideas vary from the extreme of we're just animals and it should be an almost Darwinian survival of the fittest where the weak, lazy, unproductive etc. are left behind and purged from the system to the other extreme of everybody and everything should be equal and everything should be fairer (whatever fairer means?).

In those terms, these extremes seem a little absurd and unsustainable unless you're willing to accept some rather large sacrifices, but substitute the words Darwinian for capitalism and equality for socialism and it becomes a whole different ball game (well, it doesn't but people think it does) where people get all entrenched in their narrow ideological viewpoints.
