Priory of Salem – Institute of Peace Studies
Join us for our three annual Pilgrimage Crusade Festivals. These sacred events are hosted under the oversight of Marshals and clergy of the Priory of Salem. Regional Marshals may also organize local events under our banner, with advance coordination and planning.
Our holy places of Christian Israel are often occupied or under threat. It is important to be spiritually prepared and aware of our surroundings when gathering for services or raising the cross in procession. Historically, this has required co-sponsor organizations such as the Templar for protection and peacekeeping.
King David appointed over 4,000 gatekeepers for the Tabernacle. As Scripture tells us, God will restore the Tabernacle of David and gather His people from every nation. Zion is wherever God's Kingdom law is practiced by His people, and so we remember: “The cities of God will be spread abroad” (Zech. 1:17), and “In every place the nations will offer a pure offering and incense” (Mal. 1:11).
Due to spiritual and practical challenges, any pilgrimage event requires at least three months of preparation by the hosting Marshal or Church leader. These events are sacred, and the safety of pilgrims and clergy is always a priority. Door keepers and peace officers from among our own members assist in maintaining a reverent and secure environment.
As Scripture says in Numbers 2:2, the tribes of Israel assembled under the ensigns of their father’s houses. This tradition continues today at our pilgrimage festivals. We provide standard banners representing the four leading tribes: Ephraim, Reuben, Judah, and Dan. Each has three associated sub-tribes, making twelve in total.
Deuteronomy 23 and Numbers 36 affirm the rules of inheritance and genealogy that still echo in our traditions, including Abbey succession, noble heraldry, and recognition of tribal identity for ceremonial and estate purposes.
Our Eucharistic Liturgy, based on early church texts like the Didascalia and Didache, includes prayers for unity: “May Your Church be gathered from the ends of the earth into Your Kingdom.” Isaiah 11:12 affirms:
“He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”
The Priory of Salem currently has staging ministries in Northwest Europe, the United States, Australia, and South Africa. We are actively recruiting Marshals and participants in our humanitarian and spiritual missions, including the S.A.R.A.H. Brigade (South African Reality and Honesty), which distributes food and aid to over 1.5 million displaced Afrikaners living in squatter camps with no public support.
In Jerusalem, farms and ministries have opened their gates to welcome our pilgrim Brigade. We also engage in peaceful protest at key locations including Tel Aviv, opposing the misinformation that has harmed innocent Christian populations. We work with allied orders such as Brunswick Commandery, Knights Templar.
We are commanded to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. God’s law is national law—70% applies to the public and civil sphere. We must confess sin when we transgress His law (1 John 3:4).
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” — Matthew 24:14
Three times per year the males of Israel were to appear before the Lord. In this tradition, we host three annual Pilgrimage Crusade Festivals through the OCC and the Christ’s Assembly network. These events are held across Europe, Jerusalem, and other sacred and honorable places.
We are the modern spiritual Crusaders, reclaiming the heritage and faith of our ancestors and calling the faithful to stand in unity under the ensigns of our fathers. Join us in worship, restoration, and sacred purpose.
