BRITAIN UNDER SURVEILLANCE
         

Read an article recently, the contents were disturbing to say the least.
I have no reason to doubt the authenticity, so guys, your views please.

20% of all the world's CCTV cameras are at work in Britain. 20%!!!!!!!
That means that they are constantly watching and monitoring 1% of the world's population. WHY?

I find it impossible to believe it is for our safety against Terry Rist or Al Keader. Or indeed to check what we put in our wheelie bins or to watch Saturday night revellers. Figures both official and unofficial clearly show these cameras have no effect on crime.

We all know the police use them as a moneymaking scam on the roads but......... 20% of all the cameras in the world. Come on!

I travel a lot in Europe. This year alone I have been in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and Greece. I see the people going about their daily business but what I don't see is CCTV en masse. The occasional one at a busy road junction is the norm.

So, the question is...... Why Britain?
Who made the decisions and for what are the real reasons?
Why do we put up with it?

For sure they wouldn't in mainland Europe.
