Today’s lectionary sermon nr 380 covered the glad tidings of the Kingdom on how Mary Magdelene, and many others were set free from demonic afflictions. From Mary Magdelene were evicted seven devils from her body. Not only personal sin, but family sins but also community and national ranging sins gave the demons a right to stay in her body. When Jesus declared the “glad tidings of the Kingdom” people were healed. This is what He did everywhere. Teaching “repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”. His Kingdom law governance was taught, which includes not only the personal sins, but also the national sins (as “sin is transgression of the law” 1John 3:4 and 70% of God’s law is only national level applicable). When heaven and earth passes away, still not one jot or tittle will pass from the law, and not even after finally all the prophecies and unfulfilled national laws are finally fulfilled (i.e. the literal 1,000 year reign of Christ, the lion will lay down with the lamb, etc) then it says some “jots and tittles might pass from the law”. These are mainstream easy and peaceful truths. More peaceful truths than any known to mankind, so it is a wonder why atheist governments want to destroy those who proclaim this good news. In any case the spiritual bondage is more important to deal with than any other. The sins keep the spiritual devils in power over us. However, while we’re not yet perfect, it says in Revelations that we can at least overcome the devil “by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of our testimony”.
